FAQ
How much does this cost me?
Nothing! There are zero upfront costs, zero monthly fees, and no maintenance charges.
I purchase the machine, install it, stock it, maintain it, and service it.
How do you prevent underage customers using it?
A government issued ID scanner verifies the customer is 21+.
How much money do bars usually make from this?
It varies by venue size, crowd type, and hours, but the range is typically: $150–$600 per month for small/medium bars. $500–$1,500+ per month for clubs, strip clubs, and high-traffic night venues Your cut is completely passive — you don’t handle sales, cash, or inventory.
What if staff doesn't want to deal with it?
They don't have to. The system is self contained, fully automated, and doesn't require staff involvement.
What do I have to do on my end?
Almost nothing, Provide a small space, with a standard outlet, and allow access for occasional restocking.
Does staff have to deal with refunds, problems, or questions?
No, all issues should have the customer go directly to the qr code/ website on the machine. This leads them to customer support to grant refunds and solve problems as they arise.
What about liability?
The design is meant to protect your venue, with ID scanning, placement in line of sight to a bartender, after hours automated locks, and state compliant products, your risk is limited to zero.
What products are inside the machine?
We mainly sell disposable vapes, as well as phone chargers, disposable cameras, and other miscellaneous items.
Yes, 100% as long as: Products are sold in 21+ areas, the machine is in a place visible by staff, locked after hours (done remotely), all products come from licensed Ohio distributors.
Is this legal for a bar to have?
Does this create clutter or ruin the look of my venue?
Surprisingly not! Machines are clean, LED lit, and about the size of a minifridge. We often remove packaging from products so debris doesn't collect on the floor.
What if someone breaks it or tries to steal from it?
Our machines are built with thick steel chassis, internal locking systems, temper resistant hardware, & bolting/anchoring options.
What if I want it removed?
No problem, as per our contract you can ask for removal at any time and I will pick up the machine promptly.
Will the machine pull power away from my other equipment?
No, it only uses a small amount of power, enough to light up the screen and operate low voltage motors inside.
Why are other bars doing this now?
Vape demand is high, staff doesn't need to deal with it, and it keeps customers in your bar instead of leaving in search of nicotine.
Do I need a permit or license?
No, in Ohio the vending machine operator (me) handles licensing, taxes, and compliance. You do not need any additional permits to host the machine.
Does having a vape machine encourage people to vape inside?
Realistically, people already vape indoors in most bars whether you notice it or not. Disposable vapes (what we sell) produce light, quickly dissipating vapor that smells like fruit or mint, often mistaken for perfume. The indoor vaping complaints you hear about usually come from modular, cloud chasing devices with oil/tincture/THC products - which we do NOT sell. Our machines stock only small, discreet, portable disposables people already use. The machine doesn't cause indoor vaping, it keeps customers from leaving the bar to buy a new one when theirs dies.
We will have a simple written agreement allowing the machine to be placed on your property as well as the other stipulations we agree to.
Is there a contract?
100% Compliant
MC Vapes operates fully within Ohio law by using licensed vapor distributors, maintaining an active Sales and Use Tax account, and holding a Transient Vendor License issued by the Ohio Department of Taxation. All products placed in our machines are sourced exclusively from approved Ohio vapor distributors who already remit the state’s vapor excise tax, which ensures every product meets legal and safety standards. Our machines verify age with government ID scanning, remain in staff-visible locations, and automatically lock when the venue is closed. This structure keeps the venue compliant without requiring additional permits, paperwork, or staff involvement.
We closely monitor new legislation at both the state and federal level that may impact vapor sales, vending operations, or age-restricted products. It is in our best interest to stay ahead of regulatory changes, maintain transparency with the venues we partner with, and ensure that customers only receive legal, properly taxed products. Our goal is to provide a seamless, compliant experience that keeps guests satisfied, prevents unnecessary customer departures, and supports your business without ever creating risk or disruption.
